I gave a short introduction to Android workshop as part of the OpenLab Workshops Summer Season. The workshop consisted of a brief introduction and overview of the Android basics (Activities, Services,..). We than had a look at some example code and then there was an open session to get people's development environments installed and start with some basic Android programs.
People seemed to handle the learning curve quite well, this type of practical course is something I will look to in the future, Android has great potential for arts purposes, in a couple of years there will be a plethora of cheap mobile devices around to build all sorts of crazy things with .... bring it on.
